This is hard, but 2 is my vote. Not due to B&W, just doesn’t grab me. They are wonderful!

#1 needs to go. Sorry.

Don’t listen to Bob. Get rid of the puffball. Puffballs give me the Heebee-Jeevees. It has nothing to do with the photo, I just put puff balls right up there with putting on rental bowling shoes. Shudder.

My first choice to eliminate was #11.
However, I have to say I am not fond of the middle photo in #1, so I could agree with Bob on eliminating #1.
Hope this helps and, really, all the photos are beautiful!

I would lose #2. It’s nice, but my eye bounces around it without finding somewhere to rest.
I absolutely love #10. That beautifully off-centered composition does the subject proud.

I’d vote #2 off. -didn’t “grab” me like the others did

I find #1 the least interesting.
Milkweed is a fascinating plant – keep that one for sure.

Hmm, I seem to be out of step with everyone. Although #2 is one of the less dynamic pieces I’d eliminate #8. Although it is visually pleasing, the obvious mirrored image doesn’t fit with the other photos. It seems too forced in my mind.

Clare, I think you just clinched it for me… All but number 8 are straight-forward shots… more typical of the kind of work I usually do. The manipulated one was very emotional for me, personally impactful… but it is not representative of the work I did last semester.
Thank you to everyone for your input!

They’re all wonderful. Hard choice to make. I guess I wuld say #1 OFF but its beautiful just the same. — barbara

I feel like #1 is just common. It does nothing for me except that I am looking at leaves
March 25, 2010 at 7:53 pm
Maybe too late, with my opinion but…Very beautiful all, but my least favorite was #11, followed by #10. The others just seem more mystical, magical, or artistic to me.
March 25, 2010 at 8:30 pm
They’re all beautiful, Jen, this is tough, but I’d vote #8.
March 26, 2010 at 12:51 pm
I’m way late, but #1 is my least favorite.
March 28, 2010 at 1:23 pm
I’d vote #1 off.
I like 3,4,5, 6, 9, and 10. #5 is my real favorite.

so… the jury is in.
they selected 4,5,6,9,10,11
They might “reject” a few more because of space concerns… but these made the first cut.
